The Caution Lists - Merchant and Customer Database
DISCLAIMER - these lists are generated using data submitted by random strangers who claim to be gig workers. We make no attempts to vet any of these. Similarly to the ratings system or Angi (formerly Angie's List), we simply publish data received by gig workers regarding positive or negative feedback when picking up or delivering at a certain location. Customer names are not disclosed and are anonymized if submitted. No further vetting or censorship of data occurs.
If you would like to submit data regarding a good or bad pickup or dropoff location, let us know!

GigCartel does not do any vetting. Our interpretation of the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America leads us to believe that we are merely republishing opinions, and not intentionally engaging in any defamatory activity by publishing complaints, so long as we anonymize all names, even when provided. - Address of the customer or merchant
- Merchant name if it's a merchant you've got a beef with.
- County it's in if possible so we know we have the correct town in situations where the same state has two towns with the same name (For example, Ohio has multiple towns named Ashville, Middletown, West Liberty, and East Liberty, which are in different counties)

Complaint:GigCartel has received multiple complaints from package delivery drivers that this addressee requests that you "do not leave package unattended" but often answers the door with a loaded gun unholstered in his hand.

Complaint: Alleged by a package delivery driver to be verbally abusive.
Plum Valley St. (All Addresses)
Complaint by: Grocery delivery driver.
Complaint: Gig Cartel has received multiple reports from food and grocery delivery drivers about poor sidewalk and street maintenance on this street. Use caution when driving here.
Kroger - 2129 S. Main St.
Complaint: Gig Cartel received a complaint on December 1, 2022 from a grocery delivery driver about Verbal Abuse by multiple employees of this store.
Circleville
1819 Hitler Rd 1
Complaint:Gig Cartel has received multiple reports of Grubhub and Doordash orders being requested to deliver to the front gate of Hitler-Ludwig Cemetery and to text the customer through the app when they get there. Gig Cartel does not recommend delivering to cemeteries at night, no matter how much the order pays.

Complaint:Food Hostage Merchant: Merchant forces delivery drivers to confirm pickup of orders they do not yet have possession of, and refuses to release before pickup is confirmed. This is actually against the policy of most third-party apps. You should NEVER confirm pickup of an order that is not in your possession.

Complaint: Confirmation Rush Merchant: "They tried to get me to confirm pickup before having possession of the order, but when I told them I had to have possession first, and would happily let them see me confirm AFTER I have possession, they still gave me the order. Not everyone here even asks, so might be ok."
Eddy's Chicken and Waffles - 1808 E Livingston Ave.
Complaint:According to an Uber Eats driver, they will not start preparing your order until you arrive, and sometimes even ask you to confirm the pickup before they even start preparing it, so you cannot cancel on them.

Complaint by: Food delivery driver
Complaint:GigCartel has received multiple complaints from food delivery drivers on multiple platforms that one of the employees licks her fingers to open the bags, and even did so during the COVID pandemic.

Complaint:Confirmation Rush Merchant: "Merchant tried to get me to confirm pickup before handoff, but will generally still give it to you if you hold your ground and tell them you have to have the order in your hand or bag before confirming. It depends on who is here. Half of them don't even ask.

Complaint:Confirmation Rush Merchant: "They tried to get me to confirm pickup before they were even finished preparing it. When I told them I would not confirm until I had it, they did not argue and still gave me the order."

Gig Cartel has received reports that some staff members at this establishment engage in the Naughty Merchant Practice of Confirmation Rushing, which Gig Cartel does not approve of.

Complaint:Probably among the friendliest staff I have ever encountered, but be prepared to wait at least 15 minutes if you're picking up anything here. If it's not paying at least $8 I don't accept this one. If it is, no problem.

Complaint:Customer let his dog jump all over me with muddy paws when I was in clean clothes, and gave me a one-star rating because I dared ask him to control his dog (very nicely, I might add.) I was at 5.00 and dropped to 4.96 and I know it was him! I hope the mud from his dog's paws comes out of my pants. I'm of half a mind to send him a cleaning bill, tack on a late charge every month he doesn't pay it, and interest, then take him to collections if he doesn't pay. WTF is wrong with people???

Will not start your order until you arrive, then wants to give you three drinks without a cup holder and totally had a meltdown because I dared ask him for a cup holder. I will never pick up at this location again, and if this guy is not a franchise owner, he should be fired immediately!!!

Complaint:Loose dog on property. Owner did secure the dog when I asked, but my rating on (service name withheld by GigCartel) suspiciously dropped from 4.83 to 4.75 by the next afternoon. I don't recommend delivering here, and I never will again. If I see this address, I'll cancel the order.

Complaint:They think it's funny to let their large black dog out of the house right when you are in the middle of delivering their order. Dog isn't unfriendly but seriously, is it too much to ask that you secure your dog when receiving a delivery? It's not cute. It's not funny. If you want stuff delivered to your address, SECURE YOUR G** D*** DOG!

Complaint:Rude af. Don't take anything picking up here. I refused a $17 (platform name withheld) picking up here even though it was only going one mile. You can totally keep your (Platform Status Level withheld) status never accepting this hell hole. My acceptance rate is 84% and this is the one place I'll never pick up at no matter what.
